February Sharing!

WORRY….It’s a sin according to the Word of God.

Worry….  is the mental action of bringing up conflicts or fears, mulling over them and contemplating worst case scenarios. Why do we think of the worst possible thing that could happen to us?

Most of the things that we worry about never happen. However,  constant worry does create possible health issues that could happen.

Worry is a cycle of inefficient thoughts whirling around a center of fear. Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows;  it empties today of its strengths.

Worry strangles us of our joy.

What can we do?
Pray affective prayers
Think the right thoughts
Take actions to address the issues
Take deep breaths that gives oxygen to the brain
Write thoughts, with pen and paper, not electronics for more creativity and peace.

ANXIETY
Anxiety is a feeling of uneasiness, a vague perception of threat that won’t go away.

Don’t isolate to deal with anxiety. This will allow you to dwell on things and talk to yourself. We already pointed out that when we talk to ourselves we focus on the worst things that could happen.

Anxiety increases when we try to control what we can’t.

Don’t drink alcohol to address anxiety. When the alcohol wears off, the issue will still be there. It may allow you to go to sleep, but it will not allow you to stay sleep.

There are scriptures that could help us with these issues. Jeremiah 31:3, Hebrews 13 3, 1 Corinthians 10:13, John 15:11, John 6:37, Luke 11:9, Philippians 4:13, Genesis 22:14, Isaiah 64:8, 1John 1:9, Psalm 121:7, John 10:28, John 6:40, John 14:3.
