Prayer

FATHER as we seek You this morning, may we know that SILENCE.... is Your first language, and everything else is a POOR TRANSLATION !!! We need to FIND YOU, and You cannot be found in NOISE and RESTLESSNESS. We need SILENCE to be alone with You, to speak to You, to listen to You, to ponder Your Words deep in our hearts. We need to be alone with You in SILENCE to be renewed and transformed. When SILENCE reigns in the mind, YOUR FOOTSTEPS can be heard. May we see that You are the friend of SILENCE. Psalm 62:5 (ESV) says, "For God alone, O my soul, wait in SILENCE, for my hope is from him". FATHER, as we learn to listen with a heart for You, may we come to appreciate the times when You ask nothing of us except... SILENCE. In Jesus name, Amen. (from Wallace)
